Bevor gestern um 18:00 Uhr die deutsche Bundeskanzlerin Angela Merkel zur Visite beim russischen Präsidenten Dimitri Medwedjew im russischen Urlaubsort Sotschi am Schwarzen Meere eintraf, hatte Medwedjew ab 13:30 Uhr noch eine kleine Dienstbesprechung in sportlichem Ambiente im Vorfeld des deutsch-russischen Spitzengesprächs mit seinem Amtsvorgänger dem russischen Ministerpräsidenten Vladimir Putin, dem zweiten Kopf des russischen Doppelkopfadlers. Der Golden Retriever Hund wird wissen, was besprochen wurde.

Eines der Wahlplakate zur Bundestagswahl am 27. September der Christlich Demokratischen Union Deutschlands (CDU) mit dem Worten: “Wir haben die Kraft für die Sicherheit unseres Landes, Franz Josef Jung”, fotografiert in Berlin am Ernst-Reuter-Platz auf dem Heimweg.

Ob das vom derzeitigen Bundesmininister der Verteidigung (BMVg) geführte Verteidigungsministerium ebenfalls eine solche Kraft kombiniert mit Mut zur Wahrheit und kommunikativer Kompetenz in sich spürt, stellt ZEIT ONLINE mit dem Artikel “Afghanistan: Grundkurs Krieg” in Frage. Der ZEIT-Journalist Jochen Bittner schreibt im ZEIT ONLINE Artikel: “Die Taschenkarte der Bundeswehr und der neue Verhaltenskodex der Taliban, es sind zwei Dokumente, die dasselbe zeigen. Acht Jahre nach dem 11. September beginnt ein zweiter Krieg um Afghanistan. Wer darin die professionellere Propaganda betreibt, ist allerdings schon heute klar.”
Ein neuer Verteidigungsminister oder auch eine neue Verteidigungministerin wird nach der Wahl sicher nicht alles anders machen, aber hoffentlich vieles besser.

Der NATO-Generalsekretär hat sich bei seinem ersten Afghanistan-Aufenthalt als neuer erster Mann des nordatlantischen Verteidigungsbündnissen ein strammes Programm verordnet, viele Gespräche mit afghanischen Akteuren, Präsidentschaftskandidaten, im Bild oben mit Dr. Abdullah Abdullah, Besuche der ISAF-Truppe, der Afghan National Police und Afghan National Army, Reden vor und mit Diplomaten,

den Spitzenvertretern der afghanischen Sicherheitskräfte, der UN im Land sowie Pressegespräche- und Konferenzen.

Sein Dress Code ist den Begebenheiten im Feld optimal angepasst, er läßt Rückschlüsse auf sein “robustes Mandat” und sein Selbstverständnis zu.
